ORGANIZATIONAL
ASSESSMENTS
As organizations seek to improve their performance,
they frequently need to assess their strengths and weaknesses.
Leaders may feel or have direct information that
- customers expectations are not being met, or
- the organization's values are not being practiced,
or
- quality is slipping, or
- evaluation systems are outmoded, or
- employees are increasingly dissatisfied, or
- the organization's structure is
no longer aligned with new processes.
Whatever the issue, it is important to conduct an audit
of the organization, not only to substantiate the claim,
but also to gather data on possible causes and solutions.
These are some of the reasons for conducting an organizational
assessment.
Ivy has extensive experience in developing valid survey
instruments and well-constructed interview guides as
well as in conducting behavioral observation. Each of
these instruments is tailored to meet the needs of the
individual organization, its culture, issues and problems.
Further, Ivy combines several approaches to verify findings
that lead to comprehensive recommendations. For example,
in assessing one organization's design, Ivy was able
to identify creative ways to leverage the organization's
capabilities by creating strategic alliances and by maximizing
untapped resources within the organization. |
